El Dorado Hills Library provides public education for all ages by offering classes, instructional programs and research assistance, and by loaning print, electronic and educational resources in a welcoming environment open to the entire community.  The volunteer program for the library is just one of the many programs that the library offers.

The El Dorado Hills Library is a special and unique organization for our chapter.  Chosen as our first philanthropy to partner with, our chapter became very involved with the library right after our formation.  Over the summer, our moms and daughters volunteered hundreds of hours to be ambassadors for the summer reading program as well as participate in painting with Bob Ross and the Harry Potter birthday party.  The girls enjoyed helping younger kids with their reading throughout the summer and encouraged the love of reading for even the youngest of readers.

NCL EDH had many volunteer opportunities with the EDH Library over the summer months.  The Summer Reading Program Ambassadors and Art Wednesdays were the two regular activities, with a sprinkling of special events like Harry Potter Night and Bob Ross painting.
